BLOUNTVILLE, Tenn. (WJHL) – The Muddy Creek Raceway roared to life this weekend, as Victory sports hosted its seventh race of the year on Sunday.

Bikers of all skillsets converged on the track this weekend for Mega, Ultra, BIG and SAS Series races.

President of Victory Sports, Sam Gammon, believes one of the best parts about racing weekends at the track is the people you will encounter. From pros and top amateurs – to friends and neighbors, this weekend’s racing was for everyone.

“Most of the events here are AMA pro-am events and it gives riders an opportunity to come and collect points for their professional license and also got beginner classes for people just getting started. So it’s a very well rounded program,” he explained.

Gammon is into his 38th year of hosting races and is thrilled to still be doing what he loves.

“Turnout’s been good,” he said. “As long as the weather cooperates. You know, the rain. We had a lot of rain in the spring. It hurt us some. But now, all in all, it’s all good.”

Next up for Muddy Creek Raceway is the highly-anticipated Top Gun Showdown, scheduled for October 11-13.
