Bristol Casino looking to fill hundreds of positions

BRISTOL, Va. (WJHL) — A hiring event for the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Bristol was held on Tuesday.

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Bristol Property President Allie Evangelista told News Channel 11 the hotel and casino have positions open for everyone.

“Because we are hiring hundreds of positions, we have a little bit for everyone,” Evangelista said. “Back of house for those candidates that maybe are more introverted and don’t want to deal directly with the public, such as dishwashing, cooking. We also have housekeeping. We are opening a brand new hotel with 303 rooms. And what we are looking for is team members that want to join us to really make this Hard Rock brand pop when we open in the fall.”

Evangelista said positions are also open for gaming, marketing, club security, entertainment, culinary, front of house and more.

“You may not know much about gaming or hospitality, but the idea would be you join us today,” Evangelista said. “You get your foot in the door and we’ll teach you everything we know. We’ll be able to also offer you benefits such as tuition reimbursement, 401K health and dental benefits, paid vacation time, holiday pay, which we call it the actual float days, which is your own personal holiday, since we all work holidays and weekends.”

The Bristol Casino has received more than 55,000 applications for candidates since opening.

“So that should tell you that there is a lot of interest,” Evangelista said. “But we also have hired over a thousand team members that have taken different positions since they joined us. So team members have explored different opportunities once they join us. Over 600 team members have transfers and promotions from the time they joined us until now.”

Hiring events will also be held on Sept. 3 and 4.
