BRISTOL, Tenn. (WJHL) — Bristol, Tennessee city officials continue to work toward finding a home for the Bristol State Liners baseball team.

City staff have been negotiating with Boyd Sports on an agreement to operate out of Tod Houston Field, where Tennessee High’s baseball team plays.

The city has agreed to commit $5 million while the school system has agreed to pitch in $2 million to renovate the facility. Boyd Sports will possibly contribute up to $2 million if it becomes part of the agreement.

Tod Houston Field would be used by the State Liners, Tennessee High and the city.

The city council will now negotiate and look at bringing in Boyd Sports as part of the agreement or any other potential partner in the coming days.

Don't get in bed with Boyd Sports. This is a City-owned and controlled property and needs to remain 100% so.
