BRISTOL, Tenn. (WJHL) — Several Bristol, Tennessee streets will be closed at the beginning of September due to asphalt maintenance.

Street closures in the Forest Hills and Apple Valley developments along Tennessee Avenue will begin Sept. 5 and end Sept. 13, the City of Bristol, Tennessee announced.

Maintenance will include the treatment of streets with HA5, a sealant that prevents damage to asphalt from moisture and UV rays.

Residents in impacted areas are asked to turn off outside water and not park on or within 50 feet of streets on scheduled asphalt maintenance days.

Work will take place from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. in scheduled phases so residents using street parking can park on adjacent streets, the city said.

Motorists are asked to use caution when driving through maintenance areas and seek alternate routes when possible.
