THP: Man dies in head-on collision in Greene County

GREENE COUNTY, Tenn. (WJHL) – The Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) responded to a fatal crash on Wednesday on Kingsport Highway in Greene County, according to a report from THP.

The report identified the man who died in the crash as Jesse J Dever, 72.

According to the report, Dever was driving a Mazda pickup truck when he allegedly crossed double-yellow lines and collided head-on with a tractor-trailer driven by a Florida man.

The Florida man was also injured in the crash.

I’ve driven this highest for 6 years from Kingsport to Greeneville and it’s one of the worst highways in the area. Not everyone on that road is bat shit crazy drivers. Only 90% of them. Ugh
