(WJHL) — “Battle of Bristol” Wednesday night when the Tennessee High Vikings take on the Virginia High Bearcats.

In the first set, the bearcats served to the Vikings Bree Adams (23 assists) set up Erin Littleton who rose high for the big spike to get her team going… she had 11 kills

Now Virginia High with a chance to respond senior Charlie Carpenter fires one up to Maddie Davis who puts some force on it as she sends it flying over the net

Tennessee High still leads the first set but again it’s Adams giving Littleton another clean look that is almost blocked by Davis but still falls over the net…

Tennessee High wins all 3 sets.

The third set tied 2 all, between the Gate City Lady Blue Devils and Volunteer’s Lady Falcons

Starting things off Lily Christian will hit the ball to Lady Devil’s Adrianna Lane who will return the ball to the center of Falcon’s defense. Lady Falcon’s Adah Snodgrass on the serve, Devils will try and send it back but a miscommunication will send it to the crowd.

Later Devil’s Georgia Griffis will set up Cacey McDavid for the kill shot but she put a little too much power into it as the Lady Falcons score.

It was a hard-fought battle but Volunteer will come out on top 3 – 2
