The Greeneville PD app, developed by tip411, allows anonymous tips to be submitted to authorities and lets officers respond back, creating a two-way conversation.

“Our vision is a group of officers that strives to prevent the next crime,” Greeneville Police Chief Steve Spano said in a news release. “We believe our new Greeneville PD app from tip411 will help us do just that to make our community safer for all.”

The app is available for free download via the Google Play Store, iTunes App Store or on the GPD’s website .

Those without a smartphone can share tips with the GPD by texting GPDTN to 847411.
