Thursday high school sports round-up on the volleyball court and soccer pitch

(WJHL) — Now let’s look at another group of Pioneers, Crockett’s Lady Pioneers host the Lady Hilltoppers. Starting Crockett’s Sydney Shelton lines up for Callie Butlet to go for the kill shot but she ends up putting a little too much power behind it giving the toppers the point.

A little bit later Crockett will try again, Shelton gives it to Kara Coggins who comes through for the spike. Toppers only need one and on the serve, Addi Stables will send it flying. Crockett will try their best to gain control of the ball to no avail. Toppers go on to win 3-0

On the court in Bristol, the Tennessee High Lady Vikings were hosting the Dobyns-Bennett Lady Indians. Tennessee High got off to a fast start when the Lady Indians mounted a comeback when Lucy Roberts won the battle at the net.

Lady Vikings would hold steady when Bree Adams gave up one of her 27 assists including the 2,000th of her career to Erin Littleton who had 9 kills on the night. This match would go 5 sets… lady Vikings worked it around to find Ashton Blair who led the team with 14 kills. Lady Vikings hang on to win 3-2.

On the pitch tonight Jefferson Co was in town to face the Tennessee High Lady Vikings at the Stone Castle. Lady Pats led 2-1 in the first half when we arrived Lady Vikings doing all they could to tie it up when Aryana Patterson was just right of the goal on this kick

2nd half Lady Pats looked to add to their lead when Liv Toleman took her shot but the Lady Vikings goalie smothered it. Still in the second, the Lady Vikings Aubry Harmon with the entry, and someone forgot about the freshman Kadyn Kemmer who scored the goal that tied the game at 2-all. Tennessee High goes on to win 3-2

In Gray, the Dobyns Bennett Lady Indians come up to take on the Lady Trailblazers. The Indians will kick things off with Kaylee Menya who fights through the Blazer’s defense for the shot however Ealyn Sizemore puts a stop to that.

Later Menya tried again but tripped luckily Indian Carlee Cradic was there to go for the shoot that was stopped. Lady Blazers will have their time to shine, Harley Barker will slip through for a kick on goal but ends up missing. It was scoreless in the first half but the Lady Indians would win 1-0.
