    Passenger ejected in I-81 crash in Greene County

    GREENE COUNTY, Tenn. (WJHL) — Two people were injured and charges are pending after a crash on Interstate 81 in Greene County on Thursday.

    According to a report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP), a Toyota Camry was traveling southbound on I-81 near mile marker 27.7 around 10 p.m.

    The Camry then hit the rear of a Chevrolet S-10, resulting in the truck leaving the road, overturning and coming to an uncontrolled rest, THP reported.

    The passenger of the Chevrolet truck was reportedly ejected from the truck.

    Both the driver and passenger of the Chevrolet truck were injured in the crash. They were not wearing seatbelts, according to THP.

    The driver and passenger of the Camry were uninjured in the crash. Charges are pending against the driver, the report states.
