    THP: Driver cited after pedestrian struck in Hawkins County

    HAWKINS COUNTY, Tenn. (WJHL) – The Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) said a driver was cited for due care after reportedly hitting a pedestrian with his vehicle on Highway 11W in Rogersville Saturday.

    According to a release from the THP, a Jeep Renegade was traveling southbound on Highway 11W in the outside lane when it struck a pedestrian attempting to cross an intersection at Price Heights Road.

    The driver was charged/cited with due care, according to the release.

    The THP said the driver of the Jeep and the pedestrian who was struck were both injured.
