TDOT: Portion of I-81 in Greene County reopened after vehicle fire

GREENE COUNTY, Tenn. (WJHL) — A portion of Interstate 81 in Greene County was closed due to an early morning commercial vehicle fire.

According to a spokesperson for the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT), one lane on I-81 South near mile marker 24 was previously closed due to the fire.

As of 9 a.m., TDOT’s SmartWay map shows no traffic delays in the area.
