KINGSPORT, Tenn. (WJHL) — Kingsport’s sixth annual Wing Fling returns on Nov. 8.

“Wing Fling is pretty special,” wing connoisseur Wing Man said. “We have a bunch of different wing vendors here in Kingsport and in the Tri-Cities. They’ll come out. We have a record turnout this year of 12. Most vendors will have two different flavors, so that’s almost 24 wings for people to come in and try.”

The following wing vendors will be on-site:

    • Backwoods Burger Bar
    • Beef O’ Brady’s
    • Buffalo Wild Wings
    • Center Street Grill and Smokehouse
    • Delta Blues
    • East Coast Wings
    • Horse Creek Lounge at MeadowView
    • Main Street Pizza Company
    • Nick’s Restaurant
    • No Bull BBQ
    • Southern Craft BBQ
    • The Bohemian

A panel of first responders with Kingsport Fire, Kingsport Police, Sullivan County EMS and the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office will be the judges for the event. Vendors will be awarded “Best Hot Wing,” “Best Sweet Wing,” “Most Original Flavor” and “Best Overall Wing.”

A second panel of first responders will participate in the Battle of the Badges wing-eating competition.

The event will take place at the Kingsport Farmers Market from 5:30 – 8 p.m.

“When you come in the Kingsport Farmers Market in downtown Kingsport, you’re going to go around, you’ll see multiple tables set up where the vendors are set up,” Wing Man said. “They’ll have their options of wings for you to go around and try. And then you can decide which ones you think are the best. So as you’re going through there, you’re going to have a plate to go around. You’ll have all your fixings of celery, carrots, blue cheese and then also some ranch to go around and try each one of the wings.”

Tickets are $20 and include entry, wing samples, carrots, celery, dipping sauce and tea.
