KINGSPORT, Tenn. (WJHL) — The Kingsport Parks and Recreation Department hosted a Kids Day Out Camp while city schools held parent-teacher conferences.

From 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., students participated in games, stretching, crafts, video games and more at the V.O. Dobbins Center in Kingsport.

Program coordinator Renee Ensor said the department offers camps during fall, winter and spring breaks.

“We try to be affordable and give something for parents and caretakers to come and drop their kids off in a safe space where they know they’re going to be taken care of and have a good day at camp,” Ensor said.
