NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Johnny Cash’s brother and renowned performer Tommy Cash has died, according to the Johnny Cash Museum.

The museum announced the death of Tommy Cash on Facebook Saturday, adding that Tommy will be deeply missed by loved ones and fans around the world. He was 84 years old.

Tommy joined the U.S. Army after high school and worked as a DJ for the Armed Forces Radio Network, according to the museum. Tommy played with more than just his brother, performing with the likes of Hank Williams Jr. before landing a record deal in 1965.

“In 1969, on Epic Records, he released a song dedicated to John F. Kennedy, Robert F. Kennedy and Martin Luther King Jr., titled ‘Six White Horses,'” the museum said in a press release. “He went on to release and chart many other songs including ‘Rise and Shine’ and ‘One Song Away.'”

Tommy was one of Cash’s five siblings.
