KINGSPORT, Tenn. (WJHL) – The Allandale Mansion hosted its 45th annual car show on Sunday and commemorated the 60th anniversary of the Ford Mustang.

The “special lawn display” included seven generations of Mustangs, bringing in over 100 rides. There were eight generations of Corvettes, classic cars, muscle cars, rat rods, low riders, imports, tractors, and motorcycles.

“All varieties, anywhere from a 64 and a half up to 2024,” said Dave Williams, show chair for the Allandale Car Show. “And pretty soon, we’ll have the 2025 also, which is going to be hitting the showrooms. But we’re just very pleased that we had a good turnout today. And every Mustang here has a story. A lot of people have owned these cars for a long time and they know the history of the cars and whatnot.”

Williams said the Dan’l Boone Car Club, the Northeast Tennessee Mustang Club, the Blue Ridge Mustang Club, and another local group supported the car show on Sunday. He said anybody looking to join a group is invited.

“And we’re always interested in getting new people involved in our sport,” he said. “So we’re glad that we were able to be here. Perfect weather. It all worked out for us, and I think everybody had a good time. So I think that the most important thing is to enjoy the cars and have a good time and good weather. We have members in the club here who’ve joined at like 18 or 19, so we have some folks who’ve been here members for 20 or 30 or more years.”

The event also included a raffle for a golf cart, and the West Ridge High School band served breakfast and lunch throughout the day.
