Science Hill and Tennessee High win, while Abingdon falls on the volleyball court

(Elizabethton) — On the volleyball court tonight Science Hill is in town to face Elizabethton both teams unbeaten in league play. Before the game, the school honored the 1974 team the first in the school’s history

The Toppers took control early in the first set as senior Ella Neal sets it to fellow senior Chelsea Blaine who blasts it off the wall. The Cyclones had their moments as later in the set it was Jocelin Julian with the nice bump to set up Ainsley Wampler who finds the line for the kill

But Science Hill would be too much – now in the second set, it’s Neal to Blaine again the Toppers took this one in three straight sets to improve to 21-1 and the Cyclones fell to 12-6

(Bluff City) — The Tennesse High Vikings at Sullivan East High School to face the Patriots.

In the first set, Patriots Kyndl Hodge sets it up high to Asia Cairns who sends it over the net and it was too much to handle for the Vikings

Tennessee High looking for an answer…Bree Adams sets it back to Faith Hayes who rises and hits it through the block as the Vikings start to take control, she had 7 kills

This time the lob goes up to Sophie Stallcup who gets a big spike to the back line…it’s too quick for the Patriots 6 kills for her Vikings to win 3-0.

The Tennessee High Lady Vikings went down Weaver Pike on Monday and swept Sullivan East 25-10, 25-16, 25-12. THS got a balanced offense with 8 kills each from Ashton Blair and Faith Hayes, 7 by Erin Littleton, 6 each by twins Sophie and Molly Claire Stallcup, and 5 by Zoey Phillips. Emily Curtin and Bree Adams gave out 16 and 15 assists. Curtin also had a pair of aces. Addy Gentry had 14 digs and Camden Ward had 6 digs and 4 aces. THS (17-7) will host Daniel Boone tomorrow.

(Abingdon) — In Southwest Virginia tonight the Abingdon Falcons hosted the Lord Botetourt Lady Cavs.

The Falcons playing catch-up in set one. Loralie Gray with the shot that’s eventually knocked out of bounds by the Lady Cavs…

2nd setback comes Lord Botetourt’s assistance to Becca Huddleston for the monster kill, they would take the 2nd set.

Lady Falcons trying to keep this match alive Ava Kiser with a nice assist to Zoe Statzer for the huge spike at the net. it wasn’t enough

Lady Cavs won 3-0
