    ETSU men’s basketball releases 2024-25 non-conference slate

    JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (WJHL) – On Tuesday, head coach Brooks Savage and the Bucs announced the squad’s non-conference schedule for the upcoming season.

    The slate features 13 games this fall, as well as a charity exhibition game in Johnson City.

    The Blue and Gold will face High Point, before the season officially tips, on Sunday, October 27. All proceeds from the contest will benefit Finnegan’s Challenge and The Uncommon Grit Foundation.

    ETSU will play six games inside Freedom Hall in November, beginning with Division II Newberry on Monday, November 4. The homestand continues with Eastern Kentucky (Nov. 8), as part of the SoCon/ASUN Challenge, and local Division II foe, Tusculum (Nov. 13).

    The Bucs hit the road for the first time in a return trip to Davidson on Saturday, November 16.

    It’s right back to Johnson City to host a multi-team event the following weekend, as USC Upstate (Nov. 22) and Queens (Nov. 24) will both matchup with ETSU.

    The day before Thanksgiving (Nov. 27), the Bucs will visit Charlotte, before finishing the month of November at home against Austin Peay on the 30th.

    December will feature four road trips for the Blue and Gold, starting with a journey up Interstate 81 to face James Madison on Tuesday, December 3. That game is followed by contests at Wichita State (Dec. 7) and Jacksonville (Dec. 14).

    The Bucs’ lone home date all month with come against Elon on Wednesday, December 18.

    ETSU will close out the non-conference slate with a return trip to Kansas City on December 21.
