Tuesday High School volleyball and soccer round-up

Bristol, TN — High school volleyball rematch time, in Bristol, between the Lady Vikings and the Daniel Boone Lady Trailblazers.

Vikings tip things off, a light tap from Erin Littleton will put things in the center of the Blazer’s defense Vikings get the point.

Up next, Blazer’s Addison Dietz sets up Ella Wilson for the kill shot Vikings had no answer. Later on, Viking’s Littleton is on the serve, and Blazer’s Haven Barney will try and swoop in to return it but to no avail.

Lady Vikings will get their revenge tonight 3-0

The Lady Viking volleyball team avenged one of its conference losses with a 25-15, 25-20, 26-24 sweep of Daniel Boone on Tuesday night in Viking Hall. Erin Littleton led the offense with 9 kills while Faith Hayes and Zoey Phillips each had 6. Ashton Blair slammed  5 kills and picked up 13 digs with 2 aces while Addy Gentry also added 13 digs. Bree Adams and Emily Curtin each passed out 15 assists. Curtin also had 8 digs and Adams served 3 aces. THS (18-7, 5-2) will travel to West Ridge on Thursday.

Gate City, VA — Meanwhile, on the Virginia side of Bristol, the gate city Lady Blue Devil’s visited Battle’s Lady Trojans halfway through the set, battle’s Ava Wallace light taps it over the net to an unprotected corner.

Up next Gate City’s Adrianna Lane on the serve, Battle’s Savannah Davis attempts to hit it back but comes up short, pulling ahead in the set 15-14. However Battle again comes in with the light tap …. as Maddie Dooley ties up the set 16-16

Battle will go onto win in 4 Tuesday night 3 to 1

Kingsport — Now we take you up to Kingsport where it was senior night for the Dobyns Bennett lady Indians. We pick it up in the second half as senior Taylor Johnson makes a nice run up the left side and slides it to Carlee Cradic who puts it in the back of the net.

Later it was a penalty shot for the Indians but senior goalkeeper bre dykes made a nice save to deny the goal, then late in the half DB had a free kick and it was Taylor Johnson again – this time finding Aaliyah Hensley for the headed goal

Dobyns Bennett wins this one 7 – 0 on senior night

Johnson City — Providence Academy hosted the Lions from Lakeway Christian early in the first, it’s Lindsey Williams playing a long ball to Cheyann Bridgeman who gets past the defense but a slightly heavy touch gives the keeper a chance to come to get it.

Then it was Lakeway’s turn to come back the other way as Allie Thomas took it through the midfield and played a great ball to Carli Sawyer who got the shot on the net. Later – junior forward Emma Honeycutt breaks through the defense and slides it into the corner of the net to give Providence the lead

Knights went on to win this one 5-1 and improve to 12-2
