CARTER COUNTY, Tenn. (WJHL) — Two people were injured after a crash on Highway 19E in Carter County on Wednesday.

Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) reports a 2015 Mini Cooper was attempting to turn left from State Route 361 onto Highway 19E just after 5 p.m.

The Mini Cooper then failed to yield to a 2002 Honda Accord that was traveling southbound on Highway 19E, according to THP.

The Honda Accord reportedly hit the Mini Cooper on the driver’s side and both vehicles came to a rest in the southbound lanes of Highway 19E.

Both drivers were injured in the crash. They both were wearing seatbelts, THP reported.

No charges were filed in the incident.
