JONESBOROUGH, Tenn. (WJHL) — Two people face multiple charges after Washington County, Tennessee Sheriff’s deputies allegedly found more than a pound of suspected methamphetamine during a Wednesday traffic stop, then discovered heroin, suspected fentanyl, marijuana and weapons at the passenger’s home.

Natasha Clawson, 30, of Roan Mountain, and Spencer Cox, 51, of Jonesborough, both are charged with multiple counts including manufacture/delivery/sale or possession of methamphetamine.

According to a Washington County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) news release, deputies stopped a vehicle driven by Clawson on Dry Creek Road. The deputy at the driver’s side reportedly noticed a baggy containing a “white/brown residue” that resembled meth, or possibly fentanyl.

Clawson allegedly refused to give the baggie to the officer, and it ripped open, spilling the contents. The release states that Clawson then reached for her purse, at which time the deputy removed her from the vehicle.

Clawson reportedly resisted arrest until a female deputy arrived and took her into custody.

Cox, meanwhile, reportedly admitted there was methamphetamine on the vehicle’s floorboard. Deputies then reportedly found a baggie underneath a blanket that contained about a pound of crystal rock thought to be meth.

Also seized from the vehicle were drug paraphernalia, two grams of a blue powder “consistent with fentanyl,” and more than $2,500 in cash.

Cox reportedly told deputies the couple had been coming from his nearby home, and he gave consent for them to search the residence. The release states they found 10 grams of heroin, 27 grams of meth, 13 grams of marijuana and four guns: two loaded handguns, a third handgun and a shotgun.

Deputies took both Cox and Clawson to Washington County Detention Center. In addition to the methamphetamine charge, Cox is charged with two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, knowingly maintaining a dwelling for distribution of a controlled substance, and being a convicted felon in possession of a handgun.

Clawson’s additional charges include tampering with evidence and resisting arrest.

Cox’s bond was set at $32,000, with Clawson’s set at $60,000. Both reportedly appeared in court Thursday.

since she's a Clawson I'd say that meth was made on Buck Mountain where she's from, and I can guarantee there's more already made ready to go from that area since CC deputies don't like going to that area.
