Johnson City, TN — For the Bucs – they’re just four days away from opening up Southern Conference play with a trip to The Citadel.

Through the first four games of the season – true sophomore quarterback – Jaylen King – has continued to show improvement in different areas of this game.

Head coach Tre Lamb said against UVA-Wise it was the quick throws that impressed him then against North Dakota State – he showed his ability outside the pocket .. and after Elon – he knows King has what it takes to connect on the deep shots.

“The biggest step he took with this work was throwing the ball down the field. You know, the post throw to Meggett was thrown 66 yards in the air, 60 yards in the air. He hit a couple of shots on some routes and double moves to the slot, which was good to see. He’s just taking it more seriously and he’s developing in practice because he’s he’s practicing hard.”
“It’s just been trying to get more comfortable in that? Just getting better throughout practices, learning from the games and I can’t say right now I’m confident and comfortable, says Lamb.”

King went on to give credit to his o-line and receivers for making him feel comfortable enough to make those plays
