According to the KPD, the threat stated they would “shoot up DB.”

Kingsport police increased the officer presence at Dobyns-Bennet and started to look into the threat.

Police filed a petition against the juvenile charging them with one felony count of false reporting.

The KPD and Kingsport City Schools stated in the release that they take any and all threats “extremely seriously.”
