Greeneville junior forward Trey Thompson receives an offer from the Tennessee

Greeneville, TN — On the high school basketball court Greeneville junior Trey Thompson received an offer from the University of Tennessee Thursday.

The 6-foot-8 power forward was a Class 3A Mr. Basketball finalist and also has offers from Virginia Tech, Xavier, Butler, Purdue, Appalachian State, ETSU, and Ohio, among others.
Last season Thompson averaged 24 points, 9.4 rebounds, 1.5 steals, and 1.1 blocks per game and led the Greene Devils to a 20-10 record and region semifinals.
