ETSU to kick off SoCon play on road against The Citadel

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WJHL) — East Tennessee State University football will take on its first conference opponent in Charleston on Saturday.

The Bucs face The Citadel at 2 p.m. to begin Southern Conference play.

ETSU goes into the road game 2-2 after a commanding 34-14 win over Elon last week.

The Citadel is also 2-2 and suffered a conference loss to Mercer last week, placing the Bulldogs near the bottom of the SoCon standings.

The Bucs are 19-13 all-time against the Bulldogs. The Citadel was one of ETSU’s three wins in the 2023 season.

Saturday’s afternoon matchup will be available to watch on ESPN+. The Buccaneer Sports Network will also provide coverage on WXSM-AM 640 and 101.5 WQUT HD-2.
