LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) — Liberty and Appalachian State announced their football game on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. from Boone, N.C. has been canceled.

Which high school football games in the Tri-Cities have been rescheduled?

School officials say the reason for the cancelation is due to the effects of Hurricane Helene along the East Coast. A Liberty Flames athletic spokesperson told members of the media that there are no plans as of Friday to reschedule the matchup.

Liberty’s next game is set for Tuesday, October 8 at 7 p.m. as they will host Conference USA rival FIU at Williams Stadium.
