Crews working structure fire involving live, tangled wires in Bristol, Tennessee

BRISTOL, Tenn. (WJHL) — Crews with the Bristol, Tennessee Fire Department are working a structure fire involving live powerlines tangled in fallen tree debris on Rock Rose Road, according to the city.

A post by the city said the fire is located in the 1500 block of Rock Rose Road, which was sparked by trees falling across multiple structures, entangling live electric wires amid the debris.

The city said residents are asked to avoid the area in order to keep emergency crews safe. The city reminded the community that heavy wind will continue throughout the day and may cause additional trees to fall.
