Bristol Motor Speedway opens campground to Helene evacuees

BRISTOL, Tenn. (WJHL) — Bristol Motor Speedway (BMS) plans to open its Medallion Campground to evacuees who are seeking shelter after Hurricane Helene.

BMS announced on Friday that the campground would open free of charge to evacuees starting at 6 p.m.

The Medallion Campground is located off Highway 394 at 105 Medallion Drive, Bristol, TN 37620. Evacuees are instructed to use Entrance No. 3. People arriving will take an immediate right after entering the Dragway Entrance, then the campground is the first one of the left.

Anyone staying there can check in using the QR code posted. BMS officials will check in the next day.

All evacuees will have access to the bathhouse facilities on the BMS property.
