    Operations suspended at 19 Northeast Tennessee post offices

    GREENEVILLE, Tenn. (WJHL) – The United States Postal Service (USPS) announced on Saturday that 19 post offices in Northeast Tennessee have suspended operations after historic flooding hit the region.

    The USPS apologized for the inconvenience but stated in a news release that the safety of customers and employees was critical.

    The following post offices have suspended their operations:

    • Afton – 432 Afton Rd, 37616
    • Bulls Gap – 410 Highway 11E, 37711
    • Bybee – 1580 Highway 160, 37713
    • Chuckey – 8140 E Andrew Johnson Hwy, 37641
    • Cosby – 4402 Hooper Hwy, 37222
    • Del Rio – 3105 Highway 25 70 E, 37727
    • Flag Pond – 1305 Rice Creek Rd, 37657
    • Greeneville – 220 W Summer St, 37743
    • Hartford – 3603 Hartford Rd, 37753
    • Limestone – 359 Opie Arnold Rd
    • Mohawk – 2250 Phillipi Rd, 37810
    • Mooresburg – 110 Loretta Ln, 37811
    • Mosheim – 9280 W Andrew Johnson Hwy, 37843
    • Newport – 265 Cosby Hwy, 37821
    • Parrottsville – 2053 Old Parrottsville Hwy, 37843
    • Roan Mountain – 8060 Highway 19E, 37687
    • Rogersville – 203 W Main St, 37857
    • Sneedville – 1314A Main St, 37869
    • Telford – 1888 Old State Hwy 34, 37690

    The USPS stated the suspensions were temporary but did not provide an estimated time as to when operations would resume at any of the post offices.
