Erwin Utilities CEO gives update on power restoration

ERWIN , Tenn. (WJHL) – At a media breifing Sunday morning, Erwin Utilities CEO, Lee Brown, updated the community on the status of power restoration.

Lee said they have all of their crews activated and working on restoring power. As far as restoring service to the areas outside of the main flood zone, he believes power can be restored by Wednesday.

For areas that sustained more extensive damage, it could be much longer.

“Restoration for the powerline to be rebuilt around the hospital route will take likely 2 to 3 weeks,” Brown said.

Brown said the Industrial Park area will be a huge hurdle for their crews.
