UNICOI, Tenn. (WJHL) — The Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security (TDOSHS) announced on Monday that it has opened a temporary driver services location at the Unicoi Police Department to help people impacted by flooding.

TDOSHS stated in a news release that the temporary location will issue duplicate identification licenses and driver licenses at the police department.

The Unicoi Police Department is located at 3600 Unicoi Drive in the Town of Unicoi.

The driver services location will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Oct. 4.

The location will only serve flood victims, not the general public.

TDOSHS also opened another temporary driver services location in Newport at the Newport Grammar School.

The department plans to open other temporary driver services locations for flood victims soon at other locations impacted by the flooding.
