    Johnson City Public Works sets up household waste dumpsters in Washington County

    JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (WJHL) — Johnson City Solid Waste dumpsters will be available for those impacted by flooding throughout Washington County, Tennessee.

    Smashed by flood, church, Fender’s Farm ponder future

    Four open-top dumpsters will be placed at the following locations to assist those impacted by flooding with the disposal of household waste:

    • New Salem Baptist Church, 421 Lester Snapp Road, Limestone
    • Jackson Bridge Road, at the bridge (Jonesborough side)
    • South Central Ruritan Park, 2639 Highway 107, Chuckey
    • Nolichuckey Valley Volunteer Fire Department, 133 Mathes Circle, Chuckey

    An open-top dumpster, located at 91 New Street, Johnson City, is also available for city residents who may have household waste from power outages.

    The Johnson City Public Works department asks the containers be used for household waste only, no storm debris or large items.

    For Solid Waste customers within Johnson City city limits, storm debris will be collected curbside as part of regular brush collection.
