FEMA will access the entire county, including Taylor’s Valley, Greene Cove, Konnarock and Damascus.

On Thursday, Governor Youngkin was in Damascus to meet with volunteers helping in Hurricane Helene recovery efforts. He will visit the Virginia Emergency Support team headquarters on Friday to receive a briefing on Hurricane Helene response efforts.

Thursday marks Youngkin’s second visit to flood-damaged Damascus. He first visited the town and surrounding parts of Southwest Virginia on Sept. 28.
