ERWIN, Tenn. (WJHL) — Erwin Utilities said it hopes to have water service restored to all of its customers by Saturday morning.

According to an online update by the utility, water was slowly being restored to the Temple Hill area on Friday. The utility said those customers will be under a boil notice when their service returns until told otherwise.

The ongoing boil water notice does not affect customers outside of the flood zone, according to the utility. Areas where the boil notice has already been lifted remain lifted, the utility said.

Erwin Utilities added that it hopes to have water restored to all of its customers by Saturday morning.

The utility said customers can expect possible service disruptions while repairs continue to be made. The utility added it hopes to lift the boil water notice for the Temple Hill area as soon as possible.
