CARTER COUNTY, Tenn. (WJHL) — Two voting precincts in Carter County have been relocated for the upcoming November general election due to flooding damage.

According to Carter County Administrator of Elections Tracy Harris, the Hampton High School precinct will be moving to Hampton Elementary. A precinct is already established at the elementary school, and the relocated precinct will be set up in a different area of the building.

Elk Mills will be voting at the Little Milligan Elementary School in November. Cloudland High School was not impacted, and that voting precinct has not changed.

Early voting starts Oct. 16 and runs through Oct. 31. Early voters should report to the Carter County Election Office, 116 Holston Avenue in Elizabethton, open weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. until noon.

Anyone looking for more information should call the election office at (423) 542-1822.
