Johnson City, TN — The ETSU Buccaneers will be a little banged up and bruised this weekend when they play host to Samford at William B. Greene Jr. stadium.

Both teams mirror each other in their (2-2) record they both run a high-tempo offense and both have undersized dual-threat quarterbacks. Bucs head coach Tre Lamb who was recruited by the Bulldogs head coach Chris Hatcher, also thinks both offenses have struggled and are due for a breakout game.

“They have a few more air raid principals and we’re probably more spread run option type, um, tempo with trying to spread you out to run it. Um, but, you know, I think both offices are struggling a little bit. If you ask both head coaches, I think Hatcher wants to score more points than they are. And I think I certainly do as well as, says Lamb.”

“A lot of things to work on. But that’s what practices for. But I think for us and our man, we started the season over due to such a long layoff that we came at the gates and played extremely well and hopefully that’ll bode well going into this next week, says Hatcher.”

The Bulldogs and the Bucs have met on 11 occasions with Samford leading the series 8-3 all-time.
