TENNESSEE (WJHL) — Alumni Hall partnered with the University of Tennessee and the UT Athletics Department to create a “Mountain Strong” clothing collection , and 100% of proceeds will go to Hurricane Helene flood recovery.

The collection is available in Alumni Hall stores in Johnson City, Bristol, Knoxville and Murfreesboro and online at AlumniHall.com.

Kingsport native Browder talks about how the “Mountain Strong” slogan was started

Johnson City’s Alumni Hall store manager Olivia Overbay said the stores will sell the collection until it fully sells out.

“For the hurricane relief, we have t-shirts, hats and decals with this logo on it for sale, in-store and online. 100% of the proceeds are going to the victims of the hurricane.”

She said the funds will then be distributed to different organizations assisting with flood recovery in the region.

“The University of Tennessee is collecting all of the proceeds, and they will be donated to different organizations throughout East Tennessee, North and South Carolina.”

Overbay said Charlie Browder, Vols tight end and Kingsport native, started the movement with the idea for the slogan “Mountain Strong.”

“We’re super excited that he came to Alumni Hall with the idea and the logo, and we were able to produce it into the shirts and everything that we have to offer.”
