    Boil water advisory issued for Bumpus Cove, Furnace Hill Road

    JONESBOROUGH, Tenn. (WJHL) — The Town of Jonesborough has issued a boil water advisory in certain areas.

    According to a release from the town, the following areas are under a boil water advisory for the next 48 hours:

    • Bumpus Cove Road
    • Furnace Hill Road
    Nolichucky River changes after flooding from Hurricane Helene

    Impacted customers are encouraged to boil water for three minutes and let it cool before consuming.

    The advisory is required by the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation as a health and safety precaution, according to the town. For any questions, call 423-753-1005.
