    Missing Marquette Co. man found safe in Big Bay after weekend search

    POWELL TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WJMN) — UPDATE (8/26/2024) : A 30-year-old man whose car was found stuck in mud near his family’s camp has been found, according to the Marquette County Sheriff’s Office.

    In a release Monday morning, an MCSO spokesperson said Rylen Parker was found Monday morning in Big Bay in good health. He was last seen Thursday of last week.

    The spokesperson for the MCSO said they would like to thank all assisting agencies who assisted in the search as well as any community members who sent in tips to help find Parker.

    ORIGINAL STORY (8/24/2024) : Marquette County Sheriff’s Office is asking for any information regarding the whereabouts of 30-year-old Rylen Parker.

    On Friday, August 23 around 5:30 p.m., the sheriff’s office responded to a report of a missing person. Rylen Parker was last seen on Thursday, August 22 at approximately 6:30 p.m. at his family camp on Remington Road near County Road 550 in Powell Township,

    According to a press release from the Marquette County Sheriff’s Office, on the evening of August 23, Parker’s white Chevrolet Malibu was discovered stuck in the mud in a wooded area near the family camp. Parker was also scheduled to arrive at a hotel in Gladstone on August 23, but never arrived. Parker has not been seen or heard from since August 22.

    Rylen Parker is described as 5’9”, 180 lbs. with blue eyes and long brown hair. He was last seen wearing dark clothing and a winter hat.

    Anyone with information regarding Rylen’s whereabouts since Thursday, August 22 is asked to contact the Marquette County Sheriff’s Office tip line at 906-225-8441.
