‘Dancing With the Stars’ pro Artem Chigvintsev arrested in California, accused of domestic violence

( KRON ) – “Dancing With the Stars” professional dancer Artem Chigvintsev was arrested in Northern California on Thursday morning on suspicion of domestic violence, Nexstar’s KRON has confirmed.

The dancer and choreographer was booked into Napa County Jail on felony domestic violence charges.

Chigvintsev, 42, is married to former WWE star Nikki Garcia. On Wednesday night, Garcia posted an Instagram story indicating she was also in Napa, however it’s not yet clear what events preceded the arrest.

Jail records obtained by KRON4.com confirm that Chigvintsev was booked into Napa County Jail and remained in jail Thursday afternoon on $25,000 bail.

A Russian professional choreographer specializing in Latin dance, Chigvintsev first appeared on “Dancing With the Stars” in 2009 and most recently, in 2023.

TMZ reports that Chigvintsev and his wife got married in 2022 and celebrated their anniversary this week.
