NESHOBA COUNTY, Miss. ( WJTV ) – A Neshoba County family is working to piece back together their lives following this week’s storms.

Twenty-two homes were damaged in Neshoba County, including the home of Daniel and Katlyn Sharp. They’re expecting their first child in just a few months.

Wolf Lake closed to boating due to flooding

They lost nearly everything when a tree fell onto their home.

“We were stuck for a little while until we could get the window kind of shimmied open cause for the sort of about 30 to 40 minutes, they were trying to see if they could cut trees down, but it was so unstable that they weren’t sure if that would be the best option. So, we just ended up, you know, getting out of the windows and knocked out and got out that way,” said Katlyn.

Katlyn’s friend set up a GoFundMe page to help the couple get back on their feet.
