JONES COUNTY, Miss. ( WHLT ) – Family and friends are searching for a missing Jones County man.

Kenneth Walters, 43, was last seen on Tuesday, August 27 at Keith’s Superstore on Moselle-Seminary Road in Moselle. Family members said Walters was going to work, but he never made it.

Jones County deputies were able to ping his last cellphone use on Morrow Road between Purvis and Hattiesburg.

Walters’ wife and children said they’re worried about his safety.

“He’s just always, always been here for us. He’s never not been. That is why this is so confusing and heartbreaking because he would come home. So in my heart, I know something’s wrong. So if anybody out there has seen my husband, our children’s father, I’m asking you to call us and notify us if you know anything,” said Deborah Walters, his wife.

Walters was driving a 1999 Dodge Dakota pickup. Investigators said he could be in the Purvis or the Bay St. Louis area.
