Vicksburg police search for suspect after chase

VICKSBURG, Miss. ( WJTV ) – Vicksburg police are searching for a suspect after a chase.

According to police, an officer attempted to stop a gray 2016 Chevrolet sedan on Indiana Avenue near South Frontage Road on Wednesday, September 4. Police said the vehicle did not stop.

Vicksburg police and Warren County deputies pursued the vehicle to a location on Gibson Road. The unidentified suspect stopped at the location and ran into a wooded area.

Authorities searched the area, but they were unable to locate the suspect. The Chevrolet was towed from the scene.

The case is under investigation.
