    Pearl police investigate accidental shooting inside Cracker Barrel

    PEARL, Miss. ( WJTV ) – Pearl police are investigating an accidental shooting inside the Cracker Barrel restaurant.

    The incident occurred at the Cracker Barrel on Riverwind Drive on Sunday, September 8.

    According to Pearl police, officers arrived at the location and determined the shooting was an accidental discharge inside the restaurant. An employee told WJTV 12 News that a gun fell out of a woman’s purse, and the gun discharged. No injuries were reported.

    Police are working to determine if charges are warranted in the case.

    “There is no immediate threat to the local area. This is a stark reminder that if you are going to conceal carry, please use caution and remember to safely transport/conceal the firearm,” police said.

    The restaurant will be closed for the rest of the day.

    why would you have a gun in the restaurant at all. if you are that scared stay home. it's strange they say it was accidental.
