    Mississippi Braves play final homestand at Trustmark Park

    PEARL, Miss. ( WJTV ) – The Mississippi Braves hosted their final homestand at Trustmark Park against the Tennessee Smokies. Their final game was on Sunday, September 8.

    Since 2005, the M-Braves’ games have been held at Trustmark Park in Pearl. They will be moving to Columbus, Georgia.

    Frontier League team coming to Trustmark Park

    “I grew up with this place. I’m a Pearl native and I’ve always been here. And this place made me become a Braves fan,” said Brandon Knecht, a former member of the Trustmark Parks ground crew.

    “I am kind of sad because I liked all the games that they’ve been playing, and it’s fun to watch them,” said Gavin Morrow, a fan.

    On Saturday, September 7, officials with Trustmark Park announced that an expansion Frontier League team will come to Trustmark Park. Voting will take place September 9-27 for the new team.
