    Jackson kidnapping suspect in standoff with police

    JACKSON, Miss. ( WJTV ) – Jackson police said a man wanted for kidnapping barricaded himself inside a location on Ridgewood Road.

    The standoff occurred in the 5000 block of Ridgewood Road on Monday, September 9.

    According to Jackson Police Chief Joseph Wade, U.S. Marshal’s and Jackson police responded to the location with an arrest warrant for the unidentified man.

    Wade said the man, who was identified as 27-year-old Jerell Lynch, did not comply with authorities and barricaded himself inside the location with a weapon.
