Woman shot, killed at North Jackson hotel

JACKSON, Miss. ( WJTV ) – Police are investigating after a woman was shot and killed at a hotel in North Jackson.

The shooting occurred at the OYO Townhouse on Beasley Road just after 9:45 p.m. on Monday, September 9.

Detective Tommie Brown said the 30-year-old victim died from gunshot wounds at the location. The victim was identified as Susana Resendiz by the Hinds County coroner.

According to Brown, the suspect was identified as 34-year-old Reynaldo Resendiz Mendoza. A murder warrant has been issued for his arrested. Mendoza is considered to be armed and dangerous.
