Vicksburg woman sentenced for child neglect

VICKSBURG, Miss. ( WJTV ) – A Vicksburg woman was sentenced after she pled guilty to child neglect.

The Vicksburg Post reported Carolyn Tedeton was sentenced to five years in prison with four years to serve.

Her co-defendant, Otis Scott, was convicted of felony child abuse in 2023 and received a life sentence.

Investigators said the victims in the cases were Tedeton’s children. One of the children suffered a subdural hematoma, sprained neck and renal hemorrhaging.
