Garbage collection suspended in Central Mississippi ahead of Francine

JACKSON, Miss. ( WJTV ) – Waste Management suspended all garbage and trash collection services for central Mississippi area customers on Thursday, September 12 due Hurricane Francine.

The company will resume services on Friday, September 13, safety and road conditions permitting. Customers will be serviced one day behind as follows:

Thursday customers will be collected on Friday.
Friday customers will be collected on Saturday.

Richard’s Disposal will also suspend garbage pickup services in the City of Jackson on Thursday, September 12.
