JACKSON, Miss. ( WJTV ) – Jackson State University (JSU) will turn up the heat on Saturday with well-known comedians and barbecue enthusiasts Cedric The Entertainer and Anthony Anderson!

The duo will stop by JSU to promote their AC Barbeque brand, which launched earlier this year at Jackson State in collaboration with SodexoMagic.

“We are excited to welcome Cedric and Anthony to our campus to experience the hospitable JSU culture firsthand,” said Kamesha Hill, director of Auxiliary Enterprises at JSU. “AC Barbeque is a part of our campus dining offerings, thus making it a part of the JSU brand. It makes sense that they come immerse themselves in all that we offer as a premiere HBCU. We look forward to showing them why we fondly refer to Jackson State University as ‘Thee I Love.’”

Cedric and Anthony will meet with students, Greek life and the campus community. They will also attend the JSU football game on Saturday inside Veterans Memorial Stadium.

“We cannot wait to touch down at Jackson State, engage with the students, and celebrate the spirit of JSU,” said Cedric the Entertainer. “Our food is rooted in culture and fueled by community, and we couldn’t be more proud that AC Barbeque is served at Jackson State. What goes better than barbecue, tailgating, and football?”

The AC Barbeque menu includes pulled pork and beef brisket sandwiches and burritos, along with chicken tenders, all topped with signature sauces and spices.
