WATKINS GLEN, N.Y. ( CHARLOTTE SPORTS LIVE ) — Watkins Glen is a fan-favorite for a reason, this ever-evolving road course boasts seven turns that will challenge any driver at any level.

Add in the fact that NASCAR is in the middle of the first round of the playoffs, and we could see some fireworks going through the turns.

This isn’t your normal road course either, adjustments have been made just for this race. New rumble strips near the bus stops to prevent certain setups and no time to learn on the fly.

Drivers will race 90 laps for a total of 220.5 miles. Half of the playoff field starting the Cup race have won at Watkins Glen, but only two of them have multiple wins- Kyle Larson and Chase Elliott. Kyle Busch also has two wins, but not in the 2024 playoffs.

Sunday’s race from Watkins Glen International in New York starts at 3 p.m.
